PERAN INTERPERSONAL KEPALA DESA DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DI DESA DARUBIAH KABUPATEN BULUKUMBA

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the interpersonal role of the Village Head in community empowerment in Darubiah Village, Bulukumba Regency. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The empirical data analyzed comes from research conducted in 2014, so the findings reflect interpersonal leadership practices during that period. The study involved five informants: the Village Head, Village Secretary, Head of the Village Unit/KUD, Head of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), and a community leader. Data was collected through interviews and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data credibility was checked using source triangulation. The results show that the Village Head performs the interpersonal role through involvement in community activities and relationships with village officials and community leaders. However, there are differences in the informants' views regarding the consistency of the Village Head's presence and punctuality in certain activities. These findings indicate that the interpersonal role has been carried out but not yet fully optimally. This study provides an empirical picture of interpersonal leadership practices in the context of village community empowerment in 2014. The study's limitation lies in the scope of informants and the data period, so the results cannot be used to conclude the current condition of Darubiah Village.
